Bright Seeds International Kindergarten – Chiang Mai, Thailand

Bright Seeds International Kindergarten has been welcoming children aged 18 months to 6 years old since August 2019. Located in the heart of Nimmanhaemin, Chiang Mai, our school provides a warm, safe, and joyful environment where children can confidently learn, explore, and grow. Guided by our vision, "Nurturing Young Minds to Become Kind & Happy Lifelong Learners," we follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework through a play-based, child-centred approach. As the specialist standalone international kindergarten in Chiang Mai, we place strong emphasis on individual attention and holistic child development.

We are currently seeking a passionate and adaptable Support Teacher to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of supporting the Homeroom Teacher, covering classes when required, and contributing positively to classroom learning. Candidates with strengths in Music, Art, or Drama may also have the opportunity to lead specialist sessions in these areas.

Role Overview

The Support Teacher works closely with the Homeroom Teacher to ensure smooth daily classroom operations, consistent supervision, and high-quality learning experiences for all children. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a strong commitment to child-centred education.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Homeroom Teacher in daily classroom activities and learning routines
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom setup, and learning materials
• Provide attentive supervision and care for children throughout the school day
• Cover classes when required to ensure continuity of learning
• Support children's emotional, social, and physical development
• Assist with observations and classroom documentation as directed
• Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership
• Communicate positively with children, staff, and parents when appropriate
• For candidates with relevant skills: plan and lead Music, Art, and/or Drama sessions
• Contribute positively to school events and the wider school community
• Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications & Experience

• Preferred: Recognised Early Years or Primary Teaching Qualification
• 2 years of experience working with children aged 2–5 years
• Experience with child-centred approaches
• Strong understanding of early childhood development (ages 2–5)
• Experience working with children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) is an advantage
• Skills in Music, Art, or Drama will be considered a strong advantage
