The
Director – Manufacturing

is accountable for the comprehensive leadership of beverage production operations, with an emphasis on preparation and mixing, aseptic and UHT processing, and packaging across PET bottles, beverage cartons, and cans. This role directs manufacturing strategy and execution across processing, filling & packaging, plant engineering, and Environment & Occupational Health & Safety, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1.
Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that support business goals including cost optimization, capacity expansion, and quality enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders—including Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial—to ensure seamless and on-time product delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar methodologies.

2.
People & Team Development

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team across operations, engineering, and EHS.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Identify talent needs and oversee training programs focused on specialized areas such as aseptic production, food safety, and equipment operation.

3.
Operations

• Oversee the preparation and mixing of beverage formulations, ensuring accurate batching, recipe compliance, and raw material utilization.
• Oversee aseptic and UHT thermal processing operations to ensure microbiological stability and compliance with shelf-life and food safety standards.
• Manage CIP/SIP systems and protocols to ensure hygiene and sterility throughout production systems.
• Manage high-speed filling and packaging operations across PET bottles, beverage cartons, and cans.
• Optimize line performance, reduce waste, and ensure packaging integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate changeovers for different SKUs and formats with minimal downtime.

4.
Engineering & Maintenance

• Oversee engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring asset reliability, preventive maintenance, and minimum unplanned downtime.
• Lead capital projects including the commissioning of new processing and packaging lines, particularly for aseptic/UHT technology.
• Maintain utility systems to meet production and environmental needs.

5.
Environment, Health & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture and lead EHS initiatives, audits, and corrective actions.
• Support corporate sustainability goals through energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water management programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in beverage manufacturing or FMCG manufacturing, including leadership roles.
• Proven track record with high-speed lines for PET, carton (e.g. Tetra Pak/SIG), and can packaging will be advantage.
• Strong understanding of food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000), EHS regulations, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex plant operations.
