Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Italian Head Chef with strong leadership and teamwork skills to oversee operations in our well-established and highly professional kitchen at La Bottega Bangkok.

This is a full-time, on-site position with full responsibility for the restaurant's culinary execution.

The Head Chef will work hands-on in the kitchen, ensuring consistent quality standards and strict food cost control. The role also requires creativity and initiative in the development of new menus and dishes. Equally important, the Head Chef is expected to actively contribute to the restaurant's overall hospitality, working closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a complete and coherent guest experience.

A proactive and positive hands-on approach to the role is essential, along with continuous involvement in both kitchen management and dining room coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations
• Ensure consistent quality, execution, and presentation of all dishes
• Collaborate with the property and service team to ensure guests have an excellent experience at the venue and at events
• Oversee menu execution, seasonal updates, and special menus
• Manage, train, and motivate the kitchen team
• Control food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional kitchen environment

Requirements and Qualifications

• Cheerful and positive approach to daily activities
• Strong ability to find solutions to unexpected situations
• Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in Italian restaurants
• Excellent knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine and contemporary techniques
• Solid experience in kitchen leadership and managing Asian or international teams
• Excellent understanding of food cost control and inventory management
• Great attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Experience in haute cuisine or high-end Italian restaurants is highly preferred
• Degree in culinary arts or equivalent professional experience
