To strengthen digital operations and user support in the Agriculture and Food Cluster (AGF), GIZ Thailand is seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Officer to join our team.

Junior IT Officer / IT Officer for Agriculture and Food Cluster Thailand

Responsibilities

The IT Officer will support the Agriculture and Food Cluster's digital transformation by providing technical assistance and user support in line with GIZ's IT standards and practices. Key responsibilities include:

·       Provide comprehensive IT support to the Agriculture and Food Cluster operations, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting across all cluster offices (Nana, Department of Agriculture, and Rice Department)

·       Install, configure, and maintain laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment in accordance with GIZ standards

·       Ensure availability, readiness, and compliance of up-to-date IT hardware and software (e.g., OneClient)

·       Manage and maintain LAN/Wi-Fi network infrastructure, including line connections, setup, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless connectivity

·       Coordinate with network service providers and vendors for maintenance, procurement, and problem resolution related to IT infrastructure

·       Provide technical support and guidance for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), Windows OS, SAP, Concur, SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Apps

·       Provide technical support for the implementation of the Digital Logbook and other GIZ-specific applications.

·       Support mobile devices (Android/iOS), including email setup, MDM policies, and Microsoft Teams access

·       Administer user accounts, manage authentication and access rights via Microsoft Intune Admin Portal, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

·       Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, oversee procurement, and ensure hardware disposal complies with organizational and data protection standards

·       Collaborate with the PR/Communication team to support website updates and other administrative tasks required by the webmaster

·       Offer hands-on coaching and training for non-technical staff, especially upcountry users, on digital tools and safe IT practices

·       Serve as the first line of response for troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, including phone support, and escalate unresolved cases to the GIZ IT Help Desk

·       Monitor and manage the general administration of the entire IT system and recommend improvements in hardware and network setups following GIZ IT guidelines

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications:

·       Eligible to work in Thailand without restrictions

·       Graduated in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

·       At least 5 years of professional experience in technical support, system administration, or similar IT roles in a multicultural or international working environment

·       Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android devices, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for security compliance

·       Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint

·       Solid understanding of networking, VPN configuration, data backup solutions, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools such as Microsoft Intune

·       Experience in managing and troubleshooting IT assets, mobile devices, and enterprise systems such as SAP, Concur, Power BI, and Power Apps

·       Knowledge of data protection laws; familiarity with GDPR or PDPA compliance standards is an advantage

·       Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

·       Service-minded, proactive, responsible, and self-motivated, with a positive attitude

·       Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical users

·       Patience and empathy in user interactions; experience in training or supporting colleagues with limited digital literacy is an advantage

This will be a fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible and running until December 2026 (with possibility of extension).

Duty station and timeframe:

The position will be based at GIZ Office Bangkok and Agriculture and Food Cluster, Sukhumvit 13, Bangkok.
