About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Compliance Lead
to join the Legal & Compliance Department of our Virtual Bank. This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of compliance frameworks aligned with Bank of Thailand (BOT) regulations applicable to digital banking, payment services, organizational governance, market conduct, and risk management expectations.

The Compliance Lead will act as the primary contact for compliance matters with BOT and work closely with internal teams—including Technology, Risk, Product, Customer Operations, and Business—to ensure compliance is embedded across operational and product design.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Governance & Framework


• Design, implement, and maintain the virtual bank's compliance governance, policies, procedures, and control frameworks aligned with BOT regulatory expectations.


• Oversee ongoing compliance monitoring activities, compliance assessments, and regulatory reporting frameworks.


• Ensure adherence to BOT requirements for Virtual Banking, and Designated Payment Services.


• Develop compliance dashboards and reporting mechanisms for management and Board Committees.

Regulatory Engagement & Licensing


• Lead regulatory filings, notifications, submissions, and reporting obligations required by BOT.


• Support regulatory readiness activities including pre-launch compliance validation, inspection readiness, and thematic reviews.


• Act as a liaison with BOT on compliance matters, including regulatory consultations, reporting obligations, and clarifications on new regulatory developments.

Product & Operational Compliance


• Evaluate and review business processes, customer journeys, SOPs, and product features to ensure alignment with BOT regulations and consumer protection frameworks.


• Review marketing, communication materials, disclosures, fees, and terms to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.


• Ensure compliance integration across technology controls, cybersecurity, outsourcing arrangements, data retention, and operational workflows.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, Compliance, or related fields; professional certification is a plus.


• 5–10 years' experience in compliance within banks, payment service providers, or financial regulators. .


• Strong knowledge of Thai regulatory frameworks


• Demonstrated experience handling regulatory inspections, licensing submissions, or compliance-related reporting with BOT.


• Excellent communication skills in Thai and English, with the ability to communicate regulatory expectations to non-legal stakeholders.
