Head of Procurement

Job Purpose:

To define procurement strategies and oversee procurement operations to meet the goals of the Betagro Group. The role ensures that the needs of various business units are met in terms of quality, quantity, and delivery at optimal prices through transparency. It focuses on improving operational efficiency and systematically developing personnel and team capabilities.

Responsibilities, and Expected Results:

1. Strategic Planning and Budgeting

Key Role:
Collaboratively define and communicate procurement strategies and oversee annual budget preparation in alignment with corporate policies, including risk assessment.

Expected Results:

• Appropriate plans to drive procurement strategies.

• Accurate communication of corporate goals to the team for organizational alignment.

• Actionable budget plans for the organization.

• Effective risk management according to established plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in strategic planning and cascade corporate goals to the team.

• Prepare and control budgets to meet targets.

• Define and distribute key KPIs to the team and provide consultancy to achieve targets.

• Monitor and supervise the team to ensure work plans stay on track regarding expenses, budgets, and capital expenditures (CAPEX).

2. Procurement Management and Control

Expected Results:

• The team delivers products and services according to targets and accepted quality standards.

• Transparency in operations and adherence to regulations and procedures.

• The team can assess risks/irregularities and implement preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist in problem-solving to meet user requirements regarding quality, quantity, and delivery time.

• Ensure procurement is conducted transparently according to regulations.

• Assess risks at each process step and identify mitigation methods.

• Organize bi-annual meetings with users to build relationships and improve satisfaction.

• Establish Supplier Visit or Audit plans to reduce procurement risks.

• Participate in high-impact or high-value negotiation summaries with suppliers.

• Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and solve operational issues.

3. Team Management and Development

Expected Results:

• Streamlined processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

• Team development aligned with established Core Competencies.

• Reduced staff turnover rate.

• Identification of team gaps to create development plans and career paths.

Key Responsibilities:

• Allocate personnel based on competency and create Job Rotation plans.

• Analyze competency gaps and incorporate them into individual Performance Management (PM) plans.

• Provide internal training through On-the-Job Training (OJT) or counseling.

• Assign staff to external seminars, exhibitions, or supplier visits.

• Define team structures based on employee potential and clear career paths.

• Identify Successors and Talents, and implement internal rotation strategies.
