Our client, a leading global fashion and lifestyle retailer expanding its brand portfolio in Thailand, is seeking a Accounting Team Lead (General Ledger) to oversee financial reporting, month-end closing, and balance sheet management. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and values-driven organization.

About the Role

As the GL Team Lead, you'll manage the general ledger function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across all accounting activities. You'll play a key role in process improvement, system enhancement, and financial governance, partnering with finance, operations, and audit teams to support strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
  • Ensure compliance with Thai accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Maintain the integrity of the chart of accounts and balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to support management decisions.
  • Support tax filings, statutory audits, and internal audit reviews.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and develop GL team members, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPD license required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in General Ledger or Financial Accounting, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai accounting and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Excel.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or multinational environments preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English and Thai.
