The Vertical Industries Representative is focused on managing and developing strong relationships with existing key customers as well as acquiring new key customers within the respective vertical on a global level. The success of the role is driven by the promotion of tailored solution-oriented services and by a complex external and internal stakeholder management.About the Job
  • Prospect and acquire new customers within the assigned trade lanes, networking, referrals and market research.
  • Develop an understanding of the trade lanes and partner countries' needs / requirements.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help refine service offerings.
  • Build strong relationships with targeted trade lanes and partner countries.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure solution proposal to secure new business and business retention.
  • Lead / conduct monthly business review, quarterly business review to understand if any service issues and effectively drive service improvement.
  • Update all sales activities in CRM/HISA in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Book of Business is up to date.
  • Drive, lead and monitor an active and quality sales pipeline aligned with annual sales target.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, trade lanes calls, partner countries engagement and customer meetings as needed.
  • Promote and sell TH trade with target trade lanes, partner countries and target customers.
  • Support local Sales to close businesses whenever needed.
  • Develop own new customers targets.
  • Regular review of business development with superiors.
  • Achieve sales targets and the required KPIs.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned as and when required by your supervisor / manager
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field of study required.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and vendors.
  • Proven "business-to-business" sales experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain management industry.
  • Broad understanding of value added selling techniques and business management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-team environment.
