The Engineering and Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in driving operational excellence, safety performance, and continuous improvement at the manufacturing site. This position leads engineering, maintenance, and capital project management activities to ensure plant assets and operations fully comply with global standards for Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), quality, and sustainability. The role is instrumental in improving asset reliability, productivity, and overall plant performance.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & People Management

  • Strategy Deployment: Formulate and implement engineering and maintenance strategies aligned with long-term plant and business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of three technical professionals, including capability mapping, training plans, and succession development.
  • Daily Maintenance Systems: Own and continuously improve the Daily Maintenance System to ensure effective execution and compliance with best practices.

Asset Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • TPM Leadership: Drive the Preventive Maintenance pillar of the TPM program and actively support Autonomous Maintenance to improve OEE and equipment reliability.
  • Maintenance Excellence: Establish world-class maintenance processes such as advanced defect management, structured PM programs, spare-parts optimization, and strict cost control.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Quality, and other stakeholders to deliver productivity and reliability improvements through engineering innovation.

Project & Capital Management

  • CapEx Ownership: Lead the complete lifecycle of capital investment projects including budgeting, planning, execution, and post-implementation ROI tracking.
  • Site Project Execution: Define scope, scheduling, and technical requirements for site projects such as MOC and PEP, ensuring safe and timely delivery from concept to commissioning.

SHE Governance & Technical Documentation

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities meet SHE standards and regulatory requirements while promoting a zero-incident culture.
  • Engineering Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation including P&IDs, PFDs, and single-line diagrams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 10 years' experience in maintenance and engineering leadership within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong capability in reviewing, troubleshooting, and modifying PLC programs.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing technical teams.
  • Proficient in English communication.
