Reporting To: R&D Manager

About the Role

  • Support day-to-day operations of Beverage Application Lab.
  • Provide support for RD&A Senior Scientist and RD&A Manager
  • Perform routine support on beverage application work for example weighting raw materials for making beverage application, preparation prototypes for customer visit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine application prototype development. This includes sample preparation, check raw materials stock, performing analysis, generating reports, and timely update of results with RD&A manager.
  • Perform calibration and basic maintenance of lab instruments
  • Able to operate lab machines i.e. homogenizer, high shear mixer
  • Assist in taste application and flavor evaluation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting projects when required
  • Ensure that good lab practices are followed.
  • Maintain good lab practice, lab tidiness and safety.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or any related field
  • Candidate with good internship experience or candidate with 1 years' related experience in food or laboratory environment
  • Meticulous, well-organized and has a positive working attitude.
  • Willing to learn and passion for beverage application work
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Self-driven and highly self-disciplined.
