Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated
Technical Project Manager / Project Lead
to coordinate and drive the success of our software development projects. In this role, you will be the primary communication bridge between our clients and our internal teams, ensuring smooth collaboration, clear requirements, and predictable delivery. You will work closely with our CTO, Chief Architect, and the client's Project Manager to align technical, organizational, and commercial aspects of ongoing projects.

Your background should include hands-on experience in software development—ideally with Java backend or full stack exposure—combined with strong organizational and communication skills. You will help structure daily tasks, support planning efforts, remove roadblocks, and ensure our teams deliver high-quality results on time.

This is an ideal role for someone who understands software engineering but prefers to focus on coordination, customer alignment, planning, and project execution.

What You'll Work On

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
• Collaborate directly with the DBot CTO to translate business goals and technical requirements into actionable tasks.
• Coordinate with the client's Project Manager to align timelines, expectations, scope, and deliverables.
• Structure and organize daily tasks for the development team, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirement clarification.
• Support the creation of technical specifications and user stories based on customer needs.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks early, and ensure timely reporting to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Facilitate smooth collaboration between backend, fullstack, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Track dependencies across modern and legacy systems (Java, Spring Boot, , etc.) and ensure the team remains aligned.
• Lead project-related meetings: daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, technical coordination sessions, and client syncs.
• Ensure all documentation—requirements, API specs, decisions, architecture notes—is maintained and accessible.
• Assist in commercial communication: change requests, scope updates, planning estimates, and effort forecasting.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of experience
  in IT project management, technical coordination, or software development.
• Hands-on technical background in
  Java backend
  or
  full stack development
  (Frontend exposure is a plus, but not required).
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, databases, and modern software development practices.
• Experience coordinating agile development teams (Scrum/Kanban).
• Ability to understand complex technical topics and translate them into clear, actionable tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent English communication skills—written and spoken.
• German language skills are a strong plus but not mandatory.
• Experience in
  ERP, eCommerce, or online-shop systems
  is a bonus.
