About the role

As a Purchasing Manager at Modernform Group Public Company Limited, you will play a crucial role in the procurement function of this leading retail and consumer goods company. In this full-time position based in Bangkok, you will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain that supports the company's growth objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and executing strategic purchasing plans to meet the company's product and service requirements
  2. Negotiating favourable contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimise costs and ensure timely delivery
  3. Maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers and identifying new vendors to expand the supplier base
  4. Analysing market trends, monitoring supplier performance, and identifying opportunities for process improvements
  5. Collaborating cross-functionally to align purchasing activities with the overall business strategy
  6. Managing the purchasing team, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development
  7. Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement management role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry
  2. Strong negotiation and contract management skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
  4. Proficient in using procurement software and data analysis tools to support decision-making
  5. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  6. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
