Director of Finance

Job Summary:

The Health Resort by Clinique La Prairie, Phuket, is seeking a highly experienced Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial strategy, planning, and operations for this flagship wellness destination. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial activities, managing budgets and forecasts, and providing strategic financial guidance to support long-term growth and investment decisions.

The Director of Finance will collaborate closely with the operator (CLP), ownership, and senior leadership teams to drive financial performance, oversee internal controls, manage CAPEX processes, and maintain regulatory compliance, while ensuring that all financial standards align with the resort's commitment to excellence, transparency, and world-class luxury wellness experiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPD preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive senior finance leadership experience within international organizations; luxury hospitality or wellness experience is an advantage.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, strategic investment analysis, treasury, and fund management.
• Proven track record in financial reporting standards (TFRS/IFRS/USALI), internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with multi-stakeholder environments including owners, operators, corporate teams, and governmental authorities.
• Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, CAPEX planning and cash-flow management.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and comfort with BI tools, ERP, and digital financial systems (implementation & development).
• Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and communication with diverse international teams.
• Fluency in English is required; French language ability is a plus.
• High integrity, strong ownership mindset, and commitment to financial transparency and accountability.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial strategy, planning, and operations for Tri Vananda Health Resort by Clinique La Prairie.
• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support organizational and investment goals.
• Conduct financial modelling, feasibility studies, and market analysis for business and investment decisions.
• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, treasury, internal controls, invoicing, and system integrity.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for reporting to the operator (CLP), ownership, and stakeholders.
• Manage annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, expense tracking, variance analysis, and cash-flow planning.
• Ensure compliance with Thai tax laws and regulations (property tax, signage tax, VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and related planning).
• Liaise with government authorities, external and internal auditors, and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the key liaison between CLP (the Operator) and the owning company for CAPEX planning, submissions, approvals, and execution oversight.
• Identify financial risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure robust internal control frameworks.
• Support leadership teams with strategic insights, financial analysis, and business recommendations.
• Build, mentor, and lead the Finance team while fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Ensure all policies, procedures, licenses, and legal financial documentation remain accurate, updated, and compliant.
