Position: New Product Development Assistant Manager

Team: Product

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of new product development projects from concept ideation to commercialization.
  • Ensure product launches are aligned with overall business objectives and brand strategies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement contingency plans to ensure smooth execution.
  • Oversee initial production runs (1st to 3rd lots) to ensure product consistency, quality, and specification compliance.
  • Work closely with OEMs, R&D teams, packaging designers, and raw material suppliers (local and international) to ensure product feasibility, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover white space opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Translate consumer insights and behavioral trends into high-potential product concepts aligned with brand positioning.
  • Create detailed NPD briefs outlining product vision, key features, claims, technical requirements, and target cost.
  • Evaluate product formulations through efficacy testing, sensory panels, and performance assessments to meet quality standards.
  • Ensure all product documentation, including formulations, packaging labels, and claims, comply with FDA regulations and relevant legal standards.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to craft compelling product stories, key selling points, and scientifically-backed claims that resonate with target consumers.
  • Stay up-to-date with global trends in beauty, wellness, raw materials, and packaging innovations.
  • Proactively propose new product ideas that align with market movements and innovation gaps.
  • Responsible for formulating and optimizing cosmetic product recipes using suitable active and functional ingredients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA and ASEAN Cosmetics  & Skincare Directive. Collaborates cross-functionally with QA/QC, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and external OEM/ODM partners to ensure product quality, safety, and successful launch and post-launch performance

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Science, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in New Product Development within the skincare or makeup industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight timelines.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across
  • teams and with external partners.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and adaptability.
  • Passionate about beauty, skincare innovation, and product creation.
  • Experience in brand manufacturer, R&D, or OEM environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in both Thai and English (spoken and written).
