Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) is an exciting growth category for Unilever, comprising of Skin Care, Hair Care and supplements businesses. Southeast Asia is a dynamic market for B&W, with opportunities across premium and masstige spaces, and we have some strong and iconic brands like Sunsilk, Dove, Vaseline, Pond’s, CLEAR, Tresemme, and Creamsilk. The Regional R&D Centre at Minburi, Bangkok has capabilities for Formulation/ Packaging / Consumer Insights and Processing.

Main responsibilities:
This role is responsible for development of product communication asset that inform and delight consumers and customers, bring out the best of Unilever Science and technology toolboxes. The job holder will design content and communicate about the product features to internal and external audiences and develop claims and product stories. The role will seamlessly work to with cross functional team to convert science & technology to consumer understanding types of assets. The role will interface with Consumer technical and market insights teams, digital media teams, R&D product and pack development teams in Southeast Asia, and marketing teams.
- Insight generation and claims development to show superior aspects of Unilever formulations and packaging.
- Consumer understanding studies to ideate for concepts, and understand role of product features like ingredients and sensorial and consumer preference
- Simplify and make relevant scientific messaging for different audiences, including customers, key opinion formers, influencers, and v(b)loggers
- Creative communication development across different types of social media And digital platforms with marketing and agencies (eg demonstration video and/or short clip)
- Create product comms dossiers and train beauty advisors and sales teams on key talkable content
- Ongoing competitor monitoring for claims and comms, and constantly raise the bar for Unilever

Skills and competencies:

- Bachelor/ master’s degree in science / technology / communication / design or other relevant field
- 2-6 years of experience in communications/marketing/product design is desirable
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and solid presentation skills in English required
- Personally enjoys beauty products and communication, and is social media savvy
- Keep abreast of the current trend in beauty and personal care areas
- Demonstrates natural curiosity for consumer and shopper, competitor actions. Brings insights into project team and takes actions on them.
- Excellent team working skills and be able to work against deadlines
- Has a good knowledge of data/digital and exploit tools effectively to manage Data, Information & Knowledge effectively. Transform data into insight / actions.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment across SEA countries.
- Ability to communicate science and technology highly desirable
- Prior background in Science desirable, but not essential
- International education or work experience preferred
