Offshore technician, Mechanical

Job Description:
Our client is a Leader of the production and operation in the oil and gas, they are looking for a contractor 3 years in “Technician, Mechanical (FSO2)”, working as a rotation: in the Gulf of Thailand.

**Responsibilities**:

- _Monitor the FSO2 mechanical equipment performance and complete log sheets._
- _ Supervise maintenance subordinates to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul of all process equipment/ machines, LQ equipment/machines, lifesaving equipment such as lifeboats, firewater pumps/ firefighting equipment etc., life-sustaining equipment i.e. water maker generators and pumps, including major production support facilities i.e. gas generator, turbine engine, gas/air compressors, pressure vessels, pumps, cranes, valves, associated equipment on FSO as necessary for the safe and efficient operation of production area._
- _ Execute mechanical preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment including rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, static equipment and other systems as per schedule and job cards, and in accordance with Chief Engineer (FSO2)’s instructions. _
- _Report on spare parts and consumable requirements and suggest an improvement for the schedule and the frequency of preventive maintenance._
- _ Troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs by using available tools and control equipment, drawings, diagrams, and vendor manuals._
- _ Complete mechanical maintenance logbook, work order summary reports, daily timesheets and submit to Chief Engineer (FSO2)._
- _ Draft work requests and requisitions concerning maintenance and supply of consumables and submit to Chief Engineer (FSO2) for approval including an update on spare part inventory._
- _ Act as an emergency team member and a rescue team member._
- _ Supervise the engine room work activities which carry out by the contractor._
- _ Organize, prioritize, and schedule overall projects and specific work activities of all subordinates._
- _ Comply with and promote the Company’s SSHE policy, rules, and regulations to all work under the responsibility._
- _ Control, monitor, and supervise all maintenance budgeting and expenses relating to all activities, including manpower estimation for routine and non-routine activities within established guidelines and according to company procedures._
- _ Ensure continuous improvement in all areas of operations
- _ Act as coxswain on the lifeboat for ship’s abandon._
- _ Act as a fireman, spill clean-up team member, and lifeboat evacuation team member for emergency response._

**Qualifications**:

- _Thai national only._
- _ Technical Diploma in Mechanical or related field plus 2-year formal mechanical training_
- _ Possess STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency “Second Engineer Officer on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3000 kW or more” with IMO endorsement for dangerous goods._
- _ Attended all compulsory courses required by STCW 95 2010 convention._
- _ Minimum 3 years’ experience as Engineer Officer in Oil Tanker or 5 years’ experience as mechanical technician in oil and gas industry._
- _ Good command of both spoken and written English._

**Certificate Requirements**:

- _Valid Certificate of Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training or Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) or Tropical Further Offshore EmergencyTraining (TFOET) or Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET)._
- _ Valid medical reports with fit-to-work results._
- _ The above-mentioned certificates on minimum requirements section._
- _ Basic Fire Fighting Training._
- _ Basic First Aid Training._
- _ Rigging Slinging & Lifting Training._
- _ Confined Space Entry & Breathing Apparatus Training._
- _ Basic working at height Training._
- _ Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain/Further Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain._
- _ Fast Rescue Craft (FRC)._
