To strengthen our team we’re hiring an Account Manager Thailand & Vietnam, based in Bangkok. You are the driving force behind building the Biscoff brand and business in Thailand and VietnamYour goal is to implement the global Lotus Biscoff strategy on a local level. To facilitate and achieve this, Joint Business Plans with the clients will be made and executed.Reporting to Manager South East Asia (based in Hong Kong).Some traveling within the area will be required.You reach the country specific KPIs and targets.
**Job description**:
- Day-to-day support of commercial partners
- You’ll split your time between being at our own Lotus Bakeries office and the office of our dedicated Lotus Biscoff distributor; both located in Bangkok.
- You are the first daily point of commercial contact between our commercial partners in the dedicated countries (Thailand & Vietnam) and Lotus Bakeries.
- You’re responsible for the concrete day-by-day roll out of the approved country strategy
- On a daily base you follow up and give guidance on branding, assortment, prices, activations, Away-from-Home projects,., as well as trade marketing related questions and requests such as in-store activation materials, promotions,.In doing so, you become our local Lotus Biscoff expert.
- Follow up orders, order planning of partners, S&OP input from partners, payments,. in close collaboration with the Customer Service team (based in Hong Kong).
- Bring commercial partners to a strategic next level
- You get in-depth knowledge of the commercial partner’s country, the (E-)retail landscape, Out of Home & Foodservice landscape, competitive environment and define, together with the Manager South East
Asia, the appropriate route-to-market per channel.
- Data gathering and data analyzing on country and market level, gives you energy and is a driver of your commercial acumen.
- You gather and analyze data and market insights to monitor performance of the commercial partner and formulates action accordingly in a monthly follow up meeting with the partner
- You define the right range architecture and price/volume mix per channel in a dedicated country following the strategic framework in collaboration with the Revenue Growth & Marketing team (based in Belgium).
- Based on these insights and together with the commercial partner, you draft a joint business plan and define a set of KPIs and levers for growth on short and middle-long terms.
- You share insights, learnings and best practices from other markets & areas with your partners and vice-versa.
- Together with the commercial partner you look for and evaluate new opportunities that might arise.
- Together with the Manager South East Asia you draft the area Action Plan for the next year(s) and give input to the General Manager International Distributors Biscoff on the strategic opportunities in the future.
- You prepare and participate in data-driven business reviews per country and on area level.
- You report on a regular basis to the Manager South East Asia on the status of your countries.
**Profile**:
- You hold a Master degree in economics, sales, marketing,from a reputable university and have 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in an FMCG company
- You get energy from building an international brand and have a hands-on entrepreneurial attitude with eye for developing a profitable business relationship.
- Strong analytical skills & detail-oriented.
- Data gathering and analyzing gives you energy. Experience in dealing with Nielsen, IRI, Kantar,is considered a strong plus.
- You have a strong inter-cultural intelligence with a very high level of empathy for other cultures, religions, values, lifestyles,
- You take ownership of your set of clients and are result driven with a strong focus on making compelling action plans and executing them.
- Communication with partners, line managers and team is no hurdle for you
- You work in a flexible and independent way within the South East Asian team from our Bangkok office and with other teams in Europe.
- Traveling in the region - and occasionally to Europe - is no problem.
- You have an international ambition and are eager to work in an international context.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset, knowledge of MS Office a necessity.
- Experience in / knowledge of e-commerce and digital media is considered a plus.
Languages: English (Fluent oral and in writing) and Thai (Fluent oral and in writing). Knowledge of any other regional languages (e.g. Vietnamese) is considered a strong plus
