**Learning Support Coordinator for Key Stage 2**:

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced person to coordinate the Learning Support program across Key Stage Two.

Purpose of the post:
To provide/coordinate an appropriate and effective range of support for mainstream children who have additional learning needs (eg. ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, specific learning difficulty, intellectual delay or physical disability). Reports to the Whole School Director of Learning Support and Inclusion.

**Responsibilities**:

- In collaboration with the Whole School Director of Learning Support, ensure effective communication between all stakeholders of transdisciplinary team involved with the education of an individual child with learning needs to ensure everyone is aware of processes, protocols, challenges, plans and interventions
- Prepare, support, implement, monitor and review Individual Plans, and therefore student progress, across KS2 Learning Support
- Check and lead planning, assessment and program evaluations (teaching and learning cycle)
- To conduct reviews and meet formally, and informally with parents, teachers and specialists to discuss children’s progress and to provide parents with written reports in accordance with school policy.
- Lead, collaborate and develop programmes to meet the needs of individuals’ and groups of children with learning and other needs.
- Support families and staff in difficult cases and conversations as appropriate.
- Work with the Whole School Head of Learning Support to develop appropriate documentation regarding Admissions and Learning Support policies and procedures.
- Maintain and develop adequate record keeping procedures in keeping with school policies and good educational practices.
- Employ appropriate differentiated teaching methods to facilitate learning in accordance with age/stage and needs of your students and provide positive role models/consult for colleagues.
- To promote the work of the Learning Support departments through INSET for teaching staff and information sessions for parents.
- Be the consistent check in person/organiser and general counsel
- organise team meetings and briefings, supporting staffing, timetables, troubleshooting etc
- Lead and support head LSA
- Manage program budget, resources and NAV in collaboration with Head LSA
- Coordinate online folders and documentation standards and processes
- Lead and implement program plans of action in collaboration with the Director of Whole School Learning Support
- Mentor teachers through Success Factors appraisal systems, as well as providing classroom observation and feedback
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and LSA briefings
- Liaise with specialist departments and Year Leaders as necessary to ensure inclusivity and opportunities for mainstream Learning Support students
