Securities Services Th Operations Head

Securities Services Thailand supports clients' investment activities in local/Thailand and global markets through settlement, safekeeping, and servicing of client assets. Provides a suite of cash, foreign exchange, and liquidity solutions, along with fund accounting/valuation & supervisory services.
Manage the full suite of operations and service delivery for Securities Services Thailand, support many global and local investors with total asset under custody (AUC) of over $50 billion.
Ensure that all operations activities comply with the guidelines within Bank of Thailand (BOT), Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), Revenue Department Rules & Regulations.
The role requires an in-depth understanding of custody operations and/or fund accounting. The individual will be accountable for BAU operations while maintaining a pristine control environment.
Require frequent client, regulatory and internal stakeholder interactions, including in person meeting/s with BOT/SET and in local market / custodian forum.
Significant experience of managing teams, employee engagement, development, diversity will be key to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce. A strong track record in processing re-engineering and automation will be important to help build scalability as well as meet annual productivity commitments.
Acquire an in-depth understanding of the industry, competitors and internal product offering is also necessary to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.

**In this role, you're expected to**:
The role has a broad scope, ranging from BAU delivery, focus on key strategic priorities, regulatory challenges and managing external and internal stakeholders in a complex and evolving business environment.
Risk management and implementing appropriate controls commensurate with risk profile of the functions. Manage risk self-assessments and periodic risk reviews.
Client onboarding and change management to ensure our processes are aligned with client expectations and system capabilities.
Process optimization and technology automation to ensure our processes are scalable and to mitigate risks associated with manual processing. Drive process optimization and support transformation initiatives.
Oversee regulatory, audit, and compliance matters and liaise with Citi Country Operations & Technology as required.
Serve as an escalation point for Securities Services Operations team and ensure open communications between operational groups.
Develop strategies and oversee project plans meeting operational goals.
People management including hiring, development and retention. Ensure employees are engaged through consistent and transparent communication.
Work with various Ops leaders on coaching them on how to maximize their potential, work better in a highly integrated team environment and focus on bringing out their strengths. Help drive a culture of Development, Engagement and Managerial Effectiveness across the site.
Participate actively in local market/custodian/regulatory forums and discussions. Ensure that all operation processes comply with BOT, SET, SEC, AML requirements, as well as Citi Risk/Control framework.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to securities services business.
Comprehensive knowledge of the BOT regulations, SEC rules and other related local guidelines is an added advantage.
More than 10 years working experience in a custody and/or fund accounting industry, with direct experience in managing large teams.
Senior to advanced level experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management preferred.
Demonstrated success coordinating with senior leadership and in managing others.
Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment.
Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented to work in a team across different functions.
Effective project management and negotiation skills.
Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication.

**Qualification / Skills**:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
Sound operational skills.
Strong interpersonal and managerial skills, with executive presence and client centric orientation mindset.
Able to communicate effectively in English as well as the local language.
