Job Description:
Our client is upstream in oil and gas in Thailand. They are looking for a junior AP accountant.

**Type of hiring**: 1-year contract (renewable)

**Location**: Bangkok

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify the invoices, expense reimbursement statements, and other payment requests to ensure that all the information appearing on them is accurate, valid, and complete, supporting documents are in place, and they comply with financial policies and procedures, internal controls, contract T&C, and regulations.
- Properly identify cost codes for each invoice where they are missing and compute intercompany charges to the relevant entity for the amount due to their account.
- Circulate all verified invoices for approval by authorized persons as per the DOA.
- Monitoring outstanding invoices that have been placed on hold in order to find the reasons and inform the vendor and/or internal relevant department about the reasons for holding back payment, e.g., missing supporting documents, insufficient funds, pending goods or services received.
- Monitoring and following up on invoices pending approval in the workflow to ensure payment will be completed on time.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry
- Solid understanding of accounting procedures, protocols, and guidelines
- Thorough knowledge of tax accounting rules and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and experience with accounting software such as Oracle
- Strong communication skills in both English and Thai
- An effective team player with a high sense of responsibility
