**Why we need you**

Data is the lifeblood of Omise’s fintech innovation, but data is only as valuable as it is accurate. As our data ecosystem expands, we need a dedicated guardian to ensure the integrity of our information assets. We need you to bridge the gap between business ambiguity and engineering precision. By defining data quality standards and governing our data sources, you will ensure that every decision made at Omise is built on a foundation of trust. You are the key to transforming raw data into reliable engineering inputs.

**What you will be doing**

This role acts as the analytical bridge between business needs and our data infrastructure. You will be embedded within the Data Engineering team to focus on ensuring data is reliable, well-understood, and ready for all downstream use cases.

- **Engineering Support**: Act as the first line of analytical support for the Data Engineering team, focusing on data profiling, troubleshooting pipeline outputs, and diagnosing data anomalies to minimize engineering downtime.
- **Data Quality**: Design, implement, and maintain automated data quality validation rules and metrics across critical data pipelines to ensure the integrity of our core datasets.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and other business stakeholders to ensure the data lake meets their needs for accuracy and structure, acting as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting data integrity issues.

- **Documentation**:Define and document the lineage and business context for key data assets within the data lake to improve data literacy and utilization across the company.

- **Governance**: Assist in data governance initiatives by analyzing existing unmanaged data sources (e.g., spreadsheets) and helping define processes for their migration into a secure, governed environment.
- **Exploratory Analysis**: Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) on new source systems to help engineers define optimal schemas and transformation logic before development begins.

**You**

- **Education**: A Bachelor's degree in Science, IT, Statistics, or related fields.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of working experience in a Data Analyst or similar position, with a strong interest in data governance and data engineering principles.
- **Coordination**: Ability to
coordinate with other teams to ensure your tasks and data requests are completed on time.
- **Mindset**: Result-driven person with excellent time management skills.
- **Communication**: Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical data structures and business logic, explaining data lineage and transformation to both engineers and business stakeholders. Effective communicator and fluent in Thai and English.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient skills in SQL are required for data manipulation and profiling. Knowledge of Python for data profiling and validation is a strong plus.
