**About the Team**

Agoda's Supply GenAI team is building the next generation of AI-powered tools to transform how our commercial operations teams work with hotel partners worldwide. We're developing intelligent assistants, automated workflows, and data-driven insights platforms that leverage Large Language Models to streamline complex business processes, improve decision-making, and scale human expertise.

**In This Role, You'll Get to**:

- Design and build scalable microservices that power AI-driven analytics and automation workflows, serving business users across 20+ countries
- Build data-to-LLM pipelines that transform complex business data (performance metrics, operational data, external APIs) into formats optimized for LLM consumption and reasoning
- Create RESTful APIs and web interfaces that integrate LLM capabilities into production systems, including prompt engineering, streaming responses, multi-model orchestration, and structured output generation
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand user workflows, gather requirements, and iterate on features based on real-world feedback
- Own the full lifecycle of services from design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Implement observability and monitoring using modern tooling (OpenTelemetry, structured logging, health checks) to ensure system reliability
- Drive technical decisions around architecture, data modeling, API design, and integration patterns
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices, code quality standards, and knowledge sharing
- Work embedded with cross-functional teams (product, operations, analytics) to deliver end-to-end solutions that drive measurable business outcomes

**What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- 5+ years of software engineering or data engineering experience with a track record of building and shipping production systems
- Strong backend development skills in Python (required) or Node.js with experience in modern frameworks (FastAPI, Express, or similar)
- Solid understanding of API design and RESTful principles, including authentication, error handling, and versioning
- Hands-on experience with context engineering, structured output generation, and LLM evaluation
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and writing efficient SQL queries
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainable software design
- Self-starter mindset with ability to take ownership and drive projects from concept to production

**It's Great if You Have**:

- Full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, or modern frontend frameworks
- Background working embedded in business teams or building tools for non-technical users
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
- Experience with data pipelines and transforming complex datasets for downstream consumption
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and automated deployment workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
- Background in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering
- Experience working in agile, user-centric product development environments
