Business Context and Main Challenges of the Job
Responsible for Project Leadership of assigned projects - single point of accountability for technical delivery and responsible for communication with stakeholder on all Technical matters. Go-to person for assigned category responsibility. Accountable for excellence in Project Management including the project timeline. Highly capable in Project & Stakeholder Management - able to manage complex projects with regional scope plus difficult and/or virtual relationships effectively. Also leads strategic initiatives and supervises more junior team members.
Main Accountabilities
Main tasks and decision making requirements of the role:
- Leading the OTIF delivery of all technical tasks to an innovation project autonomously
- Shaping and agreeing the technical objectives and milestones of the project with stakeholders, planning strategically what, how and through whom to deliver
- Managing senior stakeholders autonomously
- Owning and driving the adherence to a full project time line
- Evaluating and proposing to the R&D Manager or Director the size and type of resource required to deliver the technical elements of the project
- Defining the IP strategy where required
- Planning, agreeing, monitoring and reviewing the technical workplan and deliverables of individuals working on technical project tasks
- Driving compliance and delivery of Innoplan, gate documents and FEinIPM
- Representing the technical project group on the core project team
- Managing risk, claims and legal compliance with local and regional requirements
- Leading and co-ordinating input from Critical Functional Capabilities
- Has responsibility for supervising junior team members, assigning tasks and ensuring delivery and well Coaching, supporting, developing team members.
- Include complex project(s) with regional scope plus difficult and/or virtual relationships to manage
- Actively supports and drives the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan including gatekeeping updated
- Ensures elements of Saftey (consumer and in scale up of products) are covered off
- Leads strategic initatives that Manager would normally take
