Regional Payments Officer

We are part of the APRIL Group, a global insurance specialist with 2,300 staff in 16 countries.

To sustain the growth of the company as well as the expansion of our services we are currently looking for a Regional Payments Officer.

The role is based in our Bangkok accounting team but supporting our businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam to process health insurance claims payments on a daily basis to insured customers and medical providers.

Principal responsibilities:

- Extract daily list of insurance claims which have been approved by our claims adjudicators from the business IT tools.
- Review claims for accuracy and consistency, for example, completeness of bank information, currencies, and payment methods.
- Enter payment data into online banking tools and accounting system
- Weekly & month-end reconciliation of bank account balances with accounting system.
- Prepare regular reports for insurance company partners and liaise with their finance teams.
- Be the main accounting team point of contact for our claims teams to assist in answering customer requests and queries.
- Work closely with accounting teams in Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Qualifications:

- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Confident in written and spoken English
- A high level of honesty and integrity in handling confidential information
- Batchelor degree or higher in any field
- 2+ years’ experience in an accounting, audit, banking, insurance, or similar environment.
