Our client is an international logistics service provider (Freight Forwarder). They are now looking for a Trade Lane Manager responsible for sourcing and market/trends of commercial vehicles.
**Responsibilities**:
The Trade Lane Manager will directly to the Manager and will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Developing the assigned geographical area, displaying of partner network, informing and updating the company products promptly, building up a versatile network, monitor the profitability of the partner and area.
- Building and maintaining relationships with shippers, consignees, carriers, product management, and overseas offices, and company networks within the trade lane.
- Always educating sales in own offices to understand trade lane products specifications, marketing strategy, promotion, and campaign including route development solutions.
- Accelerating, steering, and monitoring volume development, customer development, sales performance, and profitability of the relevant trade lane and report activities in the relevant report platform.
- Generating and demonstrating adept trade lane information’s specifics regarding country facts and knowledge, economics, geography, competition, key clients, and target customers.
- Supporting overseas offices/partners/company networks to gain business for the lane of responsibility.
- Collaborating with the Product team to identify, develop, and monitor the product's growth in terms of volume and revenue to achieve the company budget.
- Collaborating with the Procurement team to determine appropriate pricing and costing strategy, carriers/airlines relations whenever necessary for all modes of transport.
- Taking ownership and leading the lane of responsibility at all times.
- Mandatory monitoring of risk management and payment term agreements.
- Ensuring personal and sales targets and KPIs are met.
- Supporting field sales team for active selling target Route/trade lane.
- Creating input for each local sales business and tasks follow-up into company CRM.
- Building up market intelligence for the lane of responsibility tasks.
- Supporting maintaining and distributing tariffs, creating rate sheet, SOP, contact list, or any other specific information which may be relevant for the lane.
- Organizing and owning the responsibility for incoming visits under the lane of responsibility.
- Taking up additional assignments/tasks as required to meet with the Company assignment.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Logistics or equivalent with at least 8-10 years of working experience in freight forwarding.
- Excellence knowledgeable of Freight Forwarding business, Competitors, and Battle Fields.
- SIPOC (Suppliers, Input, Process, Output, Customers) know-how and ability to demonstrate RFQ knowledge.
- Proven record of own business development with multinationals convincing presentation skills and negotiation skills.
- Sales-oriented, Self-confident, Self-motivated, and “Can Do” and a Positive attitude is a must.
- Computer basic knowledge, MS Office, and CRM Software.
- Excellent in English.
