Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by assist project management through efficient coordination / Pre-con work on MEP design related jobs. Making sure projects will be moving forward on track with efficient and optimized MEP store design. Liaises Closely with Regional designers and Construction teams to ensure that all construction projects will be completed on track with great design and environment also complying with LEED certification. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Notify design team of materials availabilities and PROs and CONs of choices.
Work with cross functional team (especially Facility team) to ensure all functional requirements are addressed to MEP design package.
Work with Facilities and Operation Teams on all MEP requirements for all Reno projects. Re-evaluate all requests on optimization basis (change, or repair issue for all equipment and HVAC system).
Create standard MEP check list, so that project team can perform good quality of MEP works.
Manages and controls with supply chain all construction inventory within warehouse, including forecast, ordering, utilizing, transfer and tracking all construction goods.
Arrange the project surveying in suitable timeline.
Follow up all necessary information from landlord and issue it to all concerned person (project leader, surveyor and M&E designer) for survey preparation before surveying date.
Conduct project kick off with MEP designers.
Manage and control design processes to complete of schedule (project timeline of design process), design, tender, material selection, budget and construction.
Manage and control design process to follow schedule.
Monitor on pre-construction process and signal the delay sign to team immediately.
Manage multiple projects by sequence the project priorities.
Track details and discussed on MEP design solution status of each projects and perform weekly follow up with MEP design team.
Recheck with MEP designer if any conflict in design package.
Follow up all necessary information from landlord and issue it to all concerned person (project leader, surveyor and M&E designer) for survey preparation before surveying date.
Follow up on more information from landlord in any uncleared of site issued that effect to M&E design process.
Provide consultant to project team on MEP problem solving issue.
Support project team on the major MEP issue by coordinate with MEP design team.
Clarify and present to landlord to ensure MEP design is approved and comply with LEED certification.
Providing MEP solution, or option to execute with PROs and CONs for decision making.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Attention to details.
Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Basic skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
Knowledge of concepts, techniques and tools relating to coordinating and tracking projects.
Knowledge of standard, practices and techniques of project management.
Summary of Experience.
Experience in MEP design/ maintenance/upgrading and Project management.
Education.
Bachelor's in Architect, Interior Design or related fields
Master's degree in project management is preferred.
Basic Qualifications.
Experience in Project management / Construction management are advantage.
Good management skill, communication skill and teamwork.
Good spoken and written command of English.
