**Your day to day**
The Manager, Design will be a key member of the Design & Engineering team who leads hotel design projects across Thailand and supports Southeast Asia & Korea. The role emphasis on driving and delivery of design excellence and best in class hotels whilst focusing on appropriate operating models and return on investment for our owners.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Focus on Crown Plaza, voco, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Resort, Holiday Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites brand.
- Works closely with the regional development team in supporting the feasibility review of projects and preparation of reports for hotels that are considered for acquisition, management, or franchise into an IHG brand.
- Supports the development team with state-of-the-art and on brand design strategy with focus on cost efficiency, optimized space planning, interior design, construction, and project management. Working with the Engineering team and able to advice and provide creative design solution to tackle any issues.
- Works closely with the Senior Design Director to understand Owner investment, goals & IHG brand strategies & standards for each project through regular internal presentations at key design stages.
- Provides support to owners as per the Technical Services Agreement throughout the project lifespan from inception through consultant appointment, concept development through construction, to handover to IHG operating teams under the supervision of the Senior Design Director.
- Lead and manage workflow, involving internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure project progress on a timely basis. This include communicating key decision that might impact cost, resource, dateline to internal & external stakeholder.
- Manage the process of reviewing projects in terms of IHG design standards, including concept design, schematic, Detailed Design & Tender documentation, periodic site inspections and Pre-opening inspections.
- Supports Food and Beverage strategy delivery as part of project oversight responsibilities.
- Support the Property Improvement Plan (PIP) for new, conversion or renewal properties, including on-site evaluations and execution of PIP plans.

**What we need from you**
Education**:

- Master or Bachelor’s degree and professional registration in Architecture.
- Knowledge and experience in Master planning, large scale mixed-development and Interior Design will be an added advantage.

**Critical Expertise & Experience**:

- Min. 6 - 8 years experience in design, construction, and project management in the hospitality sector in lifestyle and Mid tier brands.
- Major emphasis on design excellence and experience in quality design delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Architectural, Interior Design, Construction Principles and understanding of applicable laws. Hotel experience is preferred.
- A self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal style.
- An effective communicator with strong project management skills, experience in a multi-national environment and ability to deal with different cultural issues sensitively.
- Good written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in Thai and English.
