About HITAP

The Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP) is a semi-autonomous research institute in the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Thailand. HITAP conducts economic evaluations and health systems research to support decision-making on healthcare in Thailand. Since 2013, HITAP’s International Unit (HIU) has worked with various countries to develop and strengthen the capacity for evidence-informed decision-making in healthcare.

Communication Officer

Highlighted Scope of Responsibilities

**Digital Content**:

- Develop effective and engaging online media and communications strategies that support and promote HITAP work and activities.
- Develop and execute content/stories for websites, social media platforms, digital content publishing and video production and coordination.

**Social Media**:

- Ability to recognise external media opportunities.
- Handle and manage media inquiries to enhance the coverage in a variety of media.
- Website management and administrator
- Set up and update website content.
- Liaise with internal resources regarding the day-to-day management of the website.
- Liaise with agencies or developers to implement and support websites.

**Graphic Design**:

- Create and design various materials for digital and print materials.
- Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging for the project.
- Proficiency in the following statistical software Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AI Design tools.

**Communications**:

- Understand the content of the research at HITAP both domestically and internationally as well as other related activities to communicate to the public (including medical personnel, press, policymakers and related stakeholders)
- Work with communications team members to conceptualize and implement (and/or facilitate) communications strategies, contents, campaigns, and media.
- Ensure that all communications, contents, and materials align with HITAP’s vision.
- Maintain community engagement effectively to enhance HITAP’s partnership with external networks including but not limited to SAPPHIRE, GEAR, HTAsiaLink, PMAC and ISPH
- Establish and maintain relationships among research networks, funders, and any public interest groups.
- Coordinate with HITAP International Unit and Research Unit related to briefing/requirements for producing knowledge management, contents, and other research outputs.
- Keep up to date on trends including but not limited to public health and health Technology Assessment and able to plan out the communications material in an appropriate manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in any field, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or other related fields.
- Have experience working in corporate communications or corporate communications planning/public relations or other related fields
- Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. both in writing and verbally
- Have initiative, creativity, detail, and high responsibility. and can manage and prioritize work both in normal work and under pressure
- Able to use Microsoft Office programs to a good level.
- Able to use design programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design will be preferred.
