**Job Description**:
**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Accounting Supervisor ensure that all financial and accounting operations within an accounting department run smoothly. They oversee the work of junior accounting staff, review financial statements to ensure accuracy, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To issues accounts receivable and other invoices and performs collection. The Accounts Receivable Clerk must correctly record accounts receivable and collection for each customer and monitor the balance of each account. An invoice should be issued immediately after the sales transaction takes place.
- Book accounts receivable in the Sub-Ledger sorted by customer.
- Verify that the accounts receivable balance in the General Ledger agrees to the Sub-Ledger.
- Prepare the Schedule of Accounts Receivable sorted by customer and type of accounts receivable.
- If payments have not been received after the due date, issue a reminder.
- To audit all daily income that has been received by the hotel and to ensure that all relevant revenues such as rooms, food and beverage and other revenues, are correctly and completely recognized and recorded in the General Ledger accounting system.
- To be responsible for all daily income of the hotel.
- To review that all rebates and allowances to ensure they are properly authorised, and to report any deviations from hotel policies and procedures.
- To liaise with Night Manager on all matters pertaining to the night audit functions.
- To verify that sales from Rooms, Food and Beverage and Other Operating department, reviewed by the Night Manager, are correct.
- To verify that voucher totals correspond with the Night Manager report and the Food & Beverage revenue report.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Job requires a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Minimum of at least 3 years experience in hotel/resort accounting including oversight or direct responsibilities for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and income audit
- Experience with Opera, icros/Simphony, SunSytems and Adaco preferable
- Must have great organizational skills and excellent verbal and written skills
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Must handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
