
Business Development Lead, Technology

PTTEP Services Limited**Job Purpose**:
To oversee and execute business development of technology commercialization for PTTEP portfolios beyond traditional energy by identifying potential business opportunities from internal innovation or advanced technology development, developing effective business model, formulating and implementing strategic, and executing the commercialization, to ensure the sustainable growth of the business
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Formulate technology commercialization /market penetration strategy for target segment (or key technology) with action plans to achieve short and long-term business growth/diversification objective.
- Scan the environment, undergo market research and analysis of business opportunities, assess potential markets for commercialization of existing and to shape future pipeline efforts and recommendations to internal PTTEP R&D team
- Regularly collaborate with technology management unit (TTM), PTTEP’s corporate venture capital (CVC) entity (“Xplor Ventures), PTTEP carbon and energy solutions unit, disciplines engineering team and other PTTEP team/ subsidiaries to identify and pre-frame potential marketable business model to create commercialization opportunities with optimal synergy
- Manage and maintain healthy in-house technology commercialization portfolio for sustainable growth and in accordance with company direction
- Develop prospecting campaigns, product strategy in terms of technical and commercial soundness as well as development of marketing strategy in terms of price, partner, customer, competitor segment/Market opportunities
- Lead the execution of commercialization cycle from initial opportunity creation to go-to-market
- Set up new business unit/entity to manage sale of product or IP or licencing of technology. Continue support for new business unit/entity post-market-launch to ensure a level of continuity and effective transfer of knowledge
- Develop network of strong relationships with key industry influencers, key customers, partners, key decision-makers, to promote strategic partners and alliance to support growth
**Professional Knowledge & Experiences**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Technology Management, or relevant fields.
- 10+ years of experience in any related fields; Business Development or Commercial, etc., but preferably understanding of Go-to market strategy
- Experiences in technology commercialization or new business venturing will be an advantage
- Past experience in start-up, incubator, accelerator, venture builder is a plus
- Proven ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external parties
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Good project management skills
