UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfilling their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

**For every child, a better future**

UNICEF works to ensure the rights of all children in the East Asia and Pacific Region. This means the rights of every child living in this country, irrespective of their nationality, gender, religion or ethnicity, to:

- **survival** - to basic healthcare, peace and security;
- **development** - to a good education, a loving home and adequate nutrition;
- **protection** - from abuse, neglect, trafficking, child labour and other forms of exploitation; and
- **participation** - to express opinions, be listened to and take part in making any decisions that affect them

**How can you make a difference?**

The Public and Private Partnerships team of UNICEF Thailand Country Office is seeking a qualified intern to support the team in programmatic and partnership-building work. The mandate of the team is to promote respect and support for children’s rights by the private sector partners and public sector partners. Within UNICEF Thailand, the team sits with the Front Office and reports to the Representative with matrix reporting to the Deputy Representative.

The intern is expected to contribute to initiatives that can promote child rights among business stakeholders such as Family-Friendly Policies and Practices in workplaces, youth employability, child rights in the digital environment, and others. The intern will also contribute to the development of partnership strategies with the private sector and public partner/donors by conducting research and producing preliminary analysis related to child rights and business and international development cooperation in Thailand. The intern will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operations of the team by supporting tasks such as event organization, meeting coordination, proofreading, translation, drafting documents, taking notes, etc.

Through this internship, the intern will gain knowledge and experience in promoting business and children’s rights in the private sector and the international development community. The intern will also gain transferrable skills for working in a United Nations organization. The Public-Private Partnerships and Advocacy specialist will provide the necessary supervision and guidance. The Corporate Alliances Officer will also provide support and guidance on the daily tasks assigned.

Detailed tasks may include scheduling, preparing invitation letters and following up, proofreading, and translating concept notes, drafting minutes and event reports, preparing follow-up messages, etc.

- Support the ideation of creative communication content (photos, videos, human interest stories, social media posts, both in Thai and English) related to Child Rights and Business-related activities and liaise with the Communication section.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the team and other key meetings in the office, produce concise meeting notes, and follow up on agreed action points.
- Maintain and enhance the knowledge management system of the team
- Maintain and regularly update the team’s partner directory
- Delivering any other tasks where the support from the intern is deemed necessary and appropriate.
