**Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager**

In collaboration with CA&C Director, this person manages the Corporate Affairs & Communications Function in JTI Thailand with a focus on: Regulatory issues, Tax strategies, MOPH tobacco issues, and Tobacco Association-related activities. He/she develops strategies for communication (internal and external), Public relations, Corporate image building, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, and Relationship building with key stakeholders, for the purpose of shaping operational environments to serve JTI's business interest. Being prudent and taking into account the local political circumstances, governmental tax revenue needs and competitive environment

**What will you do?**
- Regulatory Affairs
- Extensive knowledge of the regulatory and political systems and, ideally, of any developments surrounding smoking and tobacco product issues, promote JTI’s interests via active participation in industry associations, and development of relationships among all allies and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Legal on the interpretation of tobacco control regulations, excise tax & earmark tax related regulations (currently in force, in force and upcoming); advocacy letters and position papers on tobacco-related laws ; Attend industry meetings where we share common regulatory concerns, advocacy and strategy
- Government Relations
- Leverage extensive government relations experience to define key messages, build networks, maintain good contacts, and effectively communicate with appropriate governmental officials and committees, regulatory agencies and political representatives. Collaborate with Legal to create arguments for upcoming regulations and assist in advocacy arguments before relevant government agencies; public consultations re proposed tobacco control regulations
- Media Relations
- Maintain good contacts and communication with the news media, define key messages, influence public opinion to promote JTI’s interests and deliver the company’s messages to balance public debate on tobacco related issues.
- Communications
- Develop and implement strategies and programs utilizing print, electronic and other media to motivate, educate and align employees to corporate objectives and initiatives for internal communication. Including but not limited to Townhalls and Business update sessions.
- Manage communication in crisis situations and maintain coordination with internal management, staff, media partners, industry partners, opinion leaders and the general public
- JTI Corporate Branding
- Manage the public opinion and trends regarding public policy issues, ideally with some reference to cigarette products, smoking and health issues.
- Collaborate with P&C on both internal / external Employer Branding initiatives to ensure compliance with ministries and other government authorities.
- Stakeholder management
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, aligned messaging and serve as conduit to the regional APAC team.
- Other
- Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Minimum 7-10 years expertise in related field of government, law firm, FMCG
- Master degree or higher, preferably in Legal, MBA, Economics, Politics or similar
- Ability to define key messages, build networks, maintain good contacts, and effectively communicate with appropriate government officials and related stakeholders.
- Native Thai, Fluent English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High capacity for leadership and influence
- Resourceful and proactive
