  • At least 7 years in a managerial or supervisory security role.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis-management skills.

  • Calm, professional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Reports To: Senior GM / Residence Manager

Property Level: Five-Star Hotel

Job Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, contractors, and hotel assets in accordance with five-star hospitality standards. This role oversees all security operations, emergency preparedness, loss prevention, and compliance with local laws and brand standards while maintaining a discreet and service-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Security Operations

  2. Plan, implement, and manage all hotel security operations.

  3. Supervise security team and control room operations (CCTV, access control, patrols, etc).

  4. Ensure 24/7 security coverage for guest areas, back-of-house, and hotel premises.

  5. Conduct regular security patrols and risk assessments.

  6. Guest & Staff Safety

  7. Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, VIPs, and employees.

  8. Handle guest security concerns professionally and discreetly.

  9. Coordinate VIP and high-profile guest security arrangements.

  10. Investigate incidents involving guests or staff and prepare detailed reports.

  11. Emergency & Crisis Management

  12. Develop, implement, and regularly update emergency response plans (fire, evacuation, bomb threat, medical emergencies, natural disasters).

  13. Act as Incident Commander during emergencies.

  14. Conduct regular fire drills and emergency simulations.

  15. Coordinate with local authorities (police, fire department, medical services).

  16. Loss Prevention & Asset Protection

  17. Prevent theft, fraud, and damage to hotel property and assets.

  18. Oversee key control, access management, and cash handling security procedures.

  19. Investigate losses and recommend corrective actions.

  20. Compliance & Risk Management

  21. Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and hotel brand standards.

  22. Maintain security-related licenses, permits, and certifications.

  23. Conduct safety audits and inspections.

  24. Training & Team Management

  25. Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate security team members.

  26. Provide ongoing training on security awareness, customer service, and emergency response.

  27. Promote a culture of safety and service excellence.

  28. Reporting & Documentation

  29. Prepare daily security logs, incident reports, and management reports.

  30. Analyze security trends and recommend preventive measures.

  31. Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
