Position Title: Security Manager

Location: Somerset Park Suanplu Bangkok

Reports To: General Manager / Residence Manager

Role Summary:

The Security Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities of the Security & Safety Department to ensure a safe, secure and compliant environment for guests/residents, employees, contractors and hotel property. This includes prevention of loss, fire & life safety, emergency preparedness, incident response, and ensuring effective security measures are in place at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Operations & Safety Management

  • Oversee all daily security operations, including guards, patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and emergency procedure enforcement.

  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures and protocols.

  • Ensure fire safety, life safety, evacuation plans and emergency response strategies are up-to-date and properly executed.

  • Maintain readiness of security and firefighting systems (e.g., alarms, extinguishers) and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Organize, lead, and train the security team for incident response, fire safety, evacuation and risk mitigation.

  • Conduct regular drills, briefings and safety meetings.

  • Ensure all security personnel are proficient in standard operating procedures and emergency response protocols.

  • Incident & Emergency Response

  • Be the point of command in security, safety, fire, loss, and emergency situations including guest/resident safety concerns, theft, disturbance or crisis events.

  • Liaise with local authorities, police or emergency services as needed.

  • Document all incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports for management review.

  • Conduct routine risk assessments of property areas and events.

  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement improvement plans.

  • Manage key control, restricted access areas, and loss prevention efforts.

  • Supervise, coordinate and appraise performance of security staff.

  • Maintain staffing levels and scheduling for 24/7 security coverage.

  • Ensure high standards of professionalism, grooming, and performance within the team.

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, HR, Guests Services and other departments to ensure safety and guest experience are fully aligned.
