Goal of function:

  • Provide ethics and compliance guidance on business programs/deals and act as accessible and available subject matter expert in order to assist the assigned businesses to comply with applicable laws, rules and compliance policies and processes.
  • Adapt, implement, maintain and supervise the company's compliance program and its key concepts and procedures acting as an independent and objective function.
  • Develop, implement and coordinate ethics and compliance awareness, education and communication programs for the organization and ensure that employees behave and act in conformity with applicable norms, principles, regulation and established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with local, regional and global colleagues to ensure that applicable compliance requirements, requests and projects for the organization are provided and completed on time.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Master FME Compliance Program, Policies, SOPs and tools (i.e. ARAVO, JIRA, The University, MetaCompliance, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Ensure policy conformity with applicable law, regulations or Codes and, if required, adaption and periodic review of Policies and SOPs.
  • Ensure continued implementation, maintenance and improvement of global, regional and local compliance policies, processes and controls within the organization.
  • Support the conduct of third-party compliance due diligence review process.
  • Coordinate compliance audits and reviews and act as liaison to oversee the fulfillment of auditor's/investigator's requests by guiding the business in preparing corrective actions in order to timely address compliance findings and recommendations.
  • Perform compliance controls testing and other ad hoc assessments.
  • Coordinate internal investigations if requested and ensure that business addresses corrective and disciplinary actions.
  • Retain compliance records, documents and files
  • Act as secretariat of the Local Compliance Oversight Committee and member of the Local Disciplinary Committee.
  • Develop materials, coordinate, monitor and report local compliance trainings.
  • First point of contact for addressing compliance relevant information regarding potential misconduct or noncompliance with internal and external rules or regulations.
  • Follow-up on signs of non-compliance (e.g. any form of allegations, whistle-blower etc.) and evaluation and determination if or which investigative steps are recommended.
  • Collaborate with compliance colleagues and other functions (e.g. Legal, Finance, Business Operations and Development) in relation to compliance related measures activities and projects.
  • Perform compliance controls testing and other ad hoc assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies (attitude, skills, typical qualifications and experience):

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an in-house ethics and compliance officer or as an ethics and compliance consultant for clients in the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical or life science companies.
  • Preferably a certified compliance practitioner, qualified lawyer, chartered accountant, or internal auditor.
  • Expert in Compliance Program, Policies, SOPs and tools (i.e. ARAVO, JIRA, MetaCompliance, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Solutions-oriented, proactive and able to work in a complex business environment with a high drive for results, individual contributor as well as team player.
  • Good command of English & Thai
