Key Accountabilities – Summary

Develop H&S Strategy (30%)

  • Develop and execute EHS policies aligned with global and regional standards.
  • Review applicable EHS regulations, conduct gap assessments, and create compliance action plans.
  • Prepare EHS plans, budgets, and an overall Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Management Plan for the project.
  • Define CSMS strategy, including contractor selection, management, KPIs, and requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews (Process Design Package, Plant Layout, Traffic Management).
  • Establish EHS meetings, emergency action plans with external agencies, and incident reporting systems.
  • Set up contractor reward, recognition, and penalty programs.
  • Identify and promote best practices for construction sites.

Implement H&S Strategy (20%)

  • Execute project EHS deliverables from Phase 2a to project completion.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise EHS and implement project-wide EHS programs and processes.
  • Benchmark best EHS practices and apply them across the project.
  • Manage contractor qualification and CSMS implementation.
  • Lead periodic EHS Committee meetings and support permit applications with Legal.
  • Participate in contractor evaluations and corporate EHS audits.

Continuous Improvement (20%)

  • Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments for high-risk project sites.
  • Identify trends and root causes, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Report H&S performance to project leadership and ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor regulatory, scientific, and stakeholder changes and recommend strategies accordingly.

Develop Project EHS Culture (10%)

  • Promote a strong EHS culture across the project.
  • Lead internal communications to build EHS awareness.
  • Provide technical, regulatory, and behavioral guidance to leaders.
  • Develop recognition programs to reinforce positive safety behaviors.

Managing Team (20%)

  • Supervise internal EHS teams and contractor-provided EHS personnel.
  • Set standards for contractor EHS performance.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to integrate EHS strategies into all processes.
  • Coordinate with APAC EHS resources and external consultants when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • Ability to u​​​​​Utilize extensive knowledge of build project management practices to ensure best practices are incorporated in project delivery to champion safety and regulatory requirements and deliver build projects with excellence.
  • Ability to act as a resource to implement project management best practices based on extensive knowledge
