Job Purpose:

SEA solution business procurement officer is a professional who is to secure goods and services by developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and analyzing market trends to achieve business goals. This role is crucial for cost efficiency, quality control, and supply chain stability, and it often involves collaborating across departments to understand and fulfill specific business needs, as seen in "solution" oriented roles

Key responsibilities:

  • Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate deals, and manage contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Market analysis: Stay informed about market trends and analyze data to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Operational oversight: Oversee the day-to-day procurement operations, including managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Project-based procurement: Contribute to project planning by providing cost data, conducting risk analyses, and helping to define procurement strategies for specific projects.
  • Risk management: Implement risk management practices and develop backup strategies to prevent supply chain disruptions, such as shortages or delivery failures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement, Sales, or Solution Business Management, preferably in automation, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in regional business development and supplier management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin or regional SEA languages is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within the SEA region.
