Area Sales Representative

Objective
The Area Sales Representative is pro-actively participating in identifying business opportunities in new areas throughout Thailand. We are looking for someone who is either responsible for the Northeast region of Thailand or Southern part of Thailand. The Area Sales Representative is responsible for activating new customers and collecting market information. This will mostly involve customer visits to new clients as well as establishing stronger relationships with existing ones. We are looking for an ambitious hard-working person who preferably has experience in steel products or an engineering background.
The Area Sales Representative can either be based in Bangkok or in the area of his or her responsibility.
Responsibilities / Main Tasks:
- Focus on the sales to food, biomass, oil & gas, chemical, powerplant or renewable energy industries.
- Products involve pipes, tubes, fittings, flanges or other related steel products.
- Activate customers by collecting inquiries which will be handled by commercial team
- Conduct customer visits, build relations and drive market development with existing and new customers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and expand customer base
- Prepare sales reports and brief commercial department of developments during regular sales briefings
- Assist in operational execution and payments (whereas required)
- Responsible for general administrative tasks related to sales and where required and/or assigned
Generic Job Requirements/Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or other relevant field
- Minimum 3 years experience in sales / marketing function with proven track record.
Relevant experience in the steel industry, oil & gas, petrochemical & construction industries preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English is preferred
- High computer literacy with advanced skills in MS Office especially in MS Excel
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to deal with people of all levels
- Strong communicator with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Visit customers in Northeast Thailand or Southern part of Thailand with own vehicle

- Meticulous, eye for detail, good with numbers able to focus
- Good co-ordination and multi tasking skills, problem solving, process oriented and stable
- Team player with flexible working approach and open-minded thinking
- Sense of responsibility, easy going personality with service minded
