Job Description

  • Supervise and ensure smooth daily operations of the Western Kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Maintain consistent food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with HACCP and hotel policies.
  • Monitor food cost, portion control, and inventory levels to meet budget and operational requirements.
  • Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver high performance and maintain discipline within the section.
  • Ensure proper storage, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in menu execution, new dish development, and overall kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Primary school education
  • Additional certification(s) from a reputable Culinary school will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
