About the role

We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead new product and model development in the automotive sector. This position plays a critical role in defining technology roadmaps, managing design and testing processes, and ensuring all products meet global standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership in cross-functional R&D environments.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead cross-functional R&D teams of engineers, designers, and specialists.
  • Define technology roadmaps for new products and model development.
  • Manage the complete development cycle from concept to mass production.
  • Collaborate with styling, design, and marketing to define model specifications.
  • Oversee new automotive systems, components, and vehicle development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (ISO, IATF
  • Manage Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for new models.
  • Supervise testing phases including ADR and pre-production builds.
  • Analyze test data, identify issues, and implement design improvements.
  • Present technical proposals and progress reports to senior management.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8–10+ years in automotive R&D or product development.
  • 3–5+ years in management or team leadership.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of automotive standards (FMVSS, ECE, ISO, IATF
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as EV, ADAS, and connected vehicles.
  • Knowledge of platform architecture and modular design.
  • Proven ability to train and develop technical teams (e.g., GD&T, FEA, feasibility studies).
