About the role

As the Costing Manager at Thai Glass Industries Public Company Limited, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's costing processes and ensuring accurate and efficient cost accounting practices. In this full-time position based in Samut Prakan, you will be responsible for overseeing the cost accounting operations and providing strategic insights to support the company's overall financial objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and maintain effective cost accounting systems and procedures to accurately track and report production costs
  2. Analyse production data, identify cost drivers, and provide recommendations to optimise cost efficiency
  3. Prepare and analyse detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and other financial statements to support decision-making
  4. Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to ensure alignment between cost accounting and business objectives
  5. Implement and maintain appropriate cost control measures and internal controls
  6. Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost accounting to continuously improve processes
  7. Mentor and train junior members of the cost accounting team to enhance their skills and capabilities

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  2. 5+ years of progressive experience in a cost accounting or management accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  3. Excellent understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and systems
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights
  5. Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team
