HSE Officer

JOB SUMMARY

The Safety Officer supports the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across Facility Management operations in Thailand. Reporting to the HSE Manager, this role contributes to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment through site-level inspections, training coordination, incident reporting, and compliance monitoring.

This position plays a key role in upholding operational safety standards, facilitating communication between site teams and the HSE function, and ensuring consistent application of HSE practices in alignment with company policies and local regulations. The Safety Officer actively promotes a proactive safety culture and supports continuous improvement in HSE performance across all account locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in site inspections to assess and verify safety conditions
• Document inspection findings through detailed notes and photographic evidence
• Monitor and follow up on identified safety issues to ensure timely resolution
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of safety training sessions, including Toolbox Talks and Safety Inductions
• Prepare supporting materials for safety awareness activities and training programs
• Reinforce safety policies and procedures among site personnel
• Support incident investigations by collecting relevant information and evidence and support regulatory reporting and interface as required
• Assist the HSE Manager and country leader in drafting incident reports and maintaining documentation
• Liaise with site teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
• Prepare presentation materials and documentation for monthly HSE meetings
• Record meeting minutes and distribute to relevant stakeholders
• Serve as the HSE point of contact onsite in the absence of the HSE Manager
• Communicate safety-related updates and requirements to site leads and employees
• Escalate newly identified or unresolved hazards to the HSE Manager
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health and safety or a related fields.
• Completion of basic safety training or certification is a plus
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the safety field or in site operations involving safety oversight
• Proven experience in conducting site inspections and safety audits using structured checklists and reporting tools
• Familiarity with workplace safety practices and basic legal compliance in Thailand is beneficial
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to communicate in basic English, including writing simple reports, emails, and reading safety-related documents
• Strong observation and attention to detail
• Clear and effective communication
• Willingness to learn and apply safety laws and procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively with site teams
• Willingness to travel to different sites as required
