We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Officer (Direct/Indirect) to join our procurement team. This position is crucial for managing the sourcing activities for both direct materials (raw materials, components) and indirect materials (services, MRO supplies). The successful candidate will ensure that sourcing strategies align with business objectives and contribute to operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Sourcing:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials to support production requirements
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term supplier relationships
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery

Indirect Sourcing:

  • Manage sourcing activities for indirect materials and services, including maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure cost-effective procurement solutions
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and innovative sourcing opportunities

Vendor Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement and innovation
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations
  • Resolve any issues related to supplier performance, delivery, or quality

Cost Management:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs
  • Analyze spend data and generate reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all sourcing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier contracts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing/procurement within the automotive manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of direct and indirect sourcing processes and best practices
  • Proficient in sourcing and procurement software and tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and under pressure
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
