Internal and internal equivalent candidates only will be considered for this vacancy. For the purposes of this vacancy, internal candidates are defined as staff members holding a regular, fixed-term or short-term graded or ungraded contract, including Junior Professional Officers (JPOs), staff on Special Leave Without Pay (SLWOP), and staff members on secondment/loan released by the Organization, unless otherwise specified in their contract.  Internal equivalent candidates are former Staff members who have separated from service due to funding constraints are still within 12 months from their effective separation date.

Organizational Context and Scope

The Regional HR Business Partnering Unit (RHRBP) serves as a strategic enabler of organizational effectiveness through HR management across the Asia and the Pacific region encompassing 39 countries. Operating within a complex and resource-constrained environment, the unit plays a pivotal role in bridging HR capacity gaps at the country level by providing direct support, strategic guidance, and operational oversight.

Under the Overall supervision of the Deputy Regional Director for Management and the direct supervision of the Regional Human Resource Business Partner, the Senior Regional Human Resources Associate will coordinate and execute a broad range of HR functions in close collaboration with various stakeholders - Regional Office Units, external stakeholders, country offices in the region, Administrative Centres, and relevant units at Headquarters, etc. - ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and timely personnel actions across systems and processes.
