Mobile Application Architect

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Mobile Application Architect to lead the design and development of our mobile application ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mobile technologies and a proven track record of creating robust, scalable, and high-performance mobile solutions for both iOS and Android platforms. While not mandatory, previous experience in the telecommunications industry is a significant advantage. This role requires a strong technical leader who can guide development teams, define architectural standards, and drive innovation within our digital offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Mobile Architecture and Design

  2. Define and lead the technical architecture for all mobile applications (iOS and Android), ensuring they are scalable, secure, and performant.

  3. Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs, including high-level design documents, architectural blueprints, and technology recommendations.

  4. Stay up-to-date with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks (e.g., KMP, React Native, Flutter), and industry trends to guide strategic decisions. Design and oversee the integration of mobile applications with backend services, APIs, and other internal/external systems.

  5. Technical Leadership and Mentoring

  6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to mobile development teams through code reviews, mentorship, and best practices.

  7. Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.

  8. Act as a subject matter expert and technical liaison between mobile teams, product management, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders.

  9. Performance, Security, and Quality Assurance

  10. Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, including performance bottlenecks and stability issues.

  11. Ensure mobile applications adhere to security best practices and comply with relevant regulations, protecting user data and intellectual property.

  12. Drive the adoption of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance development efficiency.

  13. Stakeholder Collaboration

  14. Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and align mobile solutions with overall company goals.

  15. Work with operations and QA teams to ensure the reliability and quality of all mobile releases.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 3-5 years in a mobile architect or leadership role.
  • Preferred (Advantage): Experience within the telecommunications industry, specifically with mobile apps related to telecom services, billing, customer self-service, or network management.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in designing and developing mobile applications for both iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose).
  • Strong command of cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform).
  • Deep knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI) and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), mobile-specific tools (e.g., Firebase), and backend technologies (e.g., APIs, databases).
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
