Production Supervisor

Objective of the Position;
To oversee and manage daily production activities to ensure that manufacturing operations to meet targets in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and People (Q, C, D, S, P). In addition the Production Supervisor is responsible for coach, motivate and develop team members, coordinate with support departments (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, HR), drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, lean, TPM), monitor and report key performance metrics, and ensure compliance with automotive and regulatory standards.
Accountabilities;
- Manage workshop production performance in terms of output, quality, safety, and equipment reliability to meet all operational targets.
- Develop and execute the Daily Production Plan together with planer based on manpower and equipment availability to ensure customer delivery schedules are met.
- Leads or participates in the Line Quick Problem Solving (QPS) process and ensures that problems are resolved down to their root cause;
- Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with Group HSE (Health Safety Environment) standards. Challenge rigorously any non-conformance;
- Manage materials, equipment, tools, accessories, measuring tools and work-in-process products to ensure proper use and maintenance;
- Communicates with support departments. Generates action plans, checks the progress, escalation of recurring problems.
- Supervise, coach, and develop workshop staff to improve skills, discipline, and overall team performance;
- Enforce process discipline, ensuring all PD activities follow established standards and procedures;
- Carry out on-site 5S activities, strengthen fixed location management, create a beautiful production environment and improve staff quality;
- Ensure proper usage of the EPT board and check if they are complete, up-to-date and within target.
- Handle emergencies or unexpected incidents promptly, keeping management informed and escalating when necessary;
- Ensure that resource budget for all response areas are maintained / optimized;
- Support the implementation of new products and production processes;
- Participate in various quality and development activities of the company;
- Other duties as assigned by the manager;
Requirement Profile;
1) Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Diploma or above in mechanical engineering;
- Automobile industry background, IATF16949 quality certification experience;
- More than 2-3 years of experience in front-line assembly and welding production management;
- Proficient in using office software such as word/excel
2) Technical Expertise:
- Understand the operation of MIG and TIG;
- Understand the operation, teaching and simple programming of welding robot
- Lean manufacturing and Kaizen technique knowledge.
- Familiar with English mechanical drawings
3) Interpersonal Competence:
- Good English communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility, able to work under certain pressure;
- Strong ability to master new technology/knowledge;
- Team spirit and strong sense of organization;
- Having a background in a joint venture or wholly foreign-owned company is preferred;
