  • Shift supervisors are responsible for ensuring that workers adhere to safety rules and regulations, maintain proper documentation, and report every complaint or problem that they encounter within their shift.
  • The preferred candidate should have a professional who is in charge of overseeing business operations on their shift. They must be able to delegate tasks, resolve problems, and make sure that everything goes smoothly for everyone during a given work shift, including stocking inventory control, ensure the team meets performance targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily schedules, employee shifts, and time-off requests
  • Assign duties to employees and oversee their progress
  • Adherence to company policy, ensure to follow safety rules
  • Ensure workers under your supervision are aware of all known hazards.
  • Enforce Safe Work Practices, Correct Unsafe Conditions
  • Implement safe start-up & shutdown procedures, Knowledge of all related safety interlocks.
  • Ensure successful production in terms of quality and quantity as per specifications of the Scheduling Instructions.
  • Supervise the operations of the plant and equipment according to daily operation instructions and permanent operation procedures. Communicate any changes to procedures/standards to subordinates.
  • Supervise critical operational activities: start-up and shutdown, and provide technical support to the Boardman and the Field Leader during these activities.
  • Take corrective actions in case of upset/disruption in accordance with the upset scenarios and instructions given by the Superintendent.
  • Monitor staff performances and carryout annual appraisals. Propose and follow-up on training of staff.
  • Promote and facilitate effective two-way communication.
  • Release all Work Permits and ensure that conditions are met.
  • Carryout regular field inspections within Area to monitor and maintain adequate housekeeping, identify and eliminate unsafe conditions and control the strict application of the work permit procedure and proper disposal of waste.
  • Monitor that PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) is being used correctly on Area.
  • Ensure the correct chemicals are being used, inventory control and that staff understand hazards and risks.
  • Ensure Time keeping, discipline, other company rules are followed by his team religiously.
  • Report Process deviation & product quality deviation immediately to all concerned and take corrective correction
  • Lead the operation shift team to operate main Process units, utilities, material handling, packaging & house keeping.
  • Work closely with Production Manager, Engineer team to execute Production Goals/ Targets & Cost optimization ideas
  • Provide shift Leadership for plant operation, optimization & troubleshooting to meet the conditions specified in SOPs during normal operation, plant troubleshooting, Start-ups/ Shutdowns
  • Coach & Guide for Field and Console operators for continuous skill development.
  • Lead/support the Operating Procedure Update and Plant improvement activities.
  • Lead emergency response, Crisis Management during Shift
  • Support Production ideas for improving Profitability, Safety & Reliability of facilities.
    Evaluate team members' performance and assist in conducting performance reviews.
Requirements and skills :
  • Able to work in shift
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or Equivalent with least 2-5 years of experience in Petrochemical, Refining Manufacturing facilities.
  • Min 2 yrs. Production Shift leader Experience in Rubber, Polymer or Petrochemical plants
  • Good knowledge of DCS systems & Field operation
  • Good Coaching & Mentoring Skill to technicians.
  • Hands on Experience of Greenfield Start-up, Operating Procedure development/ update will be preferred
  • Good written & verbal communication skills in Thai and English.
  • Knowledge of Regulations & Industry HSE practices & Process Safety.
  • Require possessing good knowledge safe work practices and certifications for high-risk tasks, such as confined space entry, hot work, and line break.
  • Good in MS Office (Ms Word, Ms Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate employees at all levels.
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills, work smart, Work hard and Leadership.
  • Understanding the ERP system, SAP knowledge is advantage.
  • Good team player and works well with all levels of employees.
