Job Title: Senior Back End Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Back End Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for our Commercial Claims applications. This role plays a key part in technical design and implementation, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable systems that support global commercial operations. You will contribute technical expertise during concept phases and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver complex IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs using Microservices architecture
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into effective technical designs
  • Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, data protection, and IT security
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing components
  • Ensure long-term maintainability of systems within the technical and functional landscape
  • Apply DevOps practices and leverage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and delivery
  • Work in an Agile environment, applying appropriate software engineering methods and best practices

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in back-end development or similar roles
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Java and Spring Boot
  • MongoDB for data management
  • Kafka for event-driven communication
  • Experience with:
  • Microservices architecture
  • Security implementation and performance optimization
  • Proficient in DevOps and cloud technologies, including:
  • GitHub Actions, ArgoCD
  • Docker, Kubernetes
  • AWS services for CI/CD and deployment
  • Solid knowledge of configuration, release, deployment, and test management
  • Understanding of AI technologies and their practical application in enhancing backend development and performance
  • Certifications in Java, Architecture, Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, or Kubernetes are an advantage
