Trainees also learn product knowledge, handle basic sales transactions, support inventory activities, and work closely with senior staff to develop into a full-fledged sales associate.

Job responsibilities

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers,
    especially
    Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Deliver clear product explanations and demonstrations in Chinese when required.
  • Support senior sales associates in closing sales.
  • Handles basic customer queries, issues, and returns.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and visually appealing store layout.
  • Assist in replenishing stock on shelves and updating product tags.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese (spoken; written is a plus).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Passion for retail sales and dealing with customers.
  • Able to work in shifts, weekends, and retail hours (depending on store).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in retail, sales, or customer service is an advantage.
  • Ability to translate or communicate product details effectively in Mandarin.
  • Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
