Our client is a leading food manufacturing company committed to high-quality production and strong workplace safety standards. As the organization continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Safety Section Manager to lead safety operations, ensure compliance, and improve the overall safety culture across the site.

Job Overview

The Safety Section Manager will oversee all safety and occupational health functions. This includes managing ISO implementation, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments, supervising the safety team, and driving continuous improvements in workplace safety. The role requires close collaboration with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of safety and environmental management systems (ISO standards).
  • Ensure site-wide compliance with all safety, health, and environmental procedures.
  • Manage the HSE Corrective Action database and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Drive safety programs and behavior-based safety initiatives to enhance safety culture.
  • Develop and update the site safety plan aligned with headquarters.
  • Establish and maintain occupational health programs as required.
  • Ensure safety SOP training is delivered and adhered to for all relevant roles.
  • Conduct and lead factory risk assessments with the Safety Committee to prevent accidents.
  • Manage, coach, and supervise the safety team to achieve KPIs.
  • Control safety-related costs, including PPE inventory, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Lead accident and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventive actions.
  • Continuously improve workplace conditions in line with safety policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in safety, HSE, or similar leadership roles (manufacturing experience preferred; food industry is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and ISO standards.
  • Experience leading safety teams and working with internal committees.
  • Good command of English, capable of communicating effectively with foreign senior management.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
